The marriage was performed by Jonathan Brine, the groom's brother-in-law.1 Henry's death record states the cause of death as drowning. The Bobo Family History, Draft Manuscript, Revised 1990, by Charles Henry Bobo offers the recollections of several family members. It seems that Henry was fond of drinking and as he was returning home, he missed the bridge over Raccoon Creek and walked into the creek. He was drowned in Raccoon Creek just below the bridge west of Zaleski near the Vanderford Farm. The creek was at flood stage and his body remained in the water for some time before it was recovered. When it was recovered, the feet had swollen so much that his shoes had to be cut off. Henry Bobo and Susan Wade Bobo became members of the First Christian Church of McArthur, Ohio in 1871.1 Henry Bobo died on 20 April 1887 at Drowned, Racoon Creek, Vinton, Ohio, USA, at age 65.1 He was buried after 20 April 1887 at Zaleski, Vinton, Ohio, USA.

Israel Bobo was born in 1780 at Virginia, USA. He married Margaret Graham, daughter of James Graham and Elizabeth Ripley, on 2 April 1801 at Ohio, USA. "History of Athens County, Ohio," by Charles M. Walker, 1869, page 352 states: "Jeremiah Clements and Israel Bobo, noted as hunters in the early settlement of the county, killed in one season sixty-five bears in one neighborhood, included in the site of the present town of Hebbardsville. The same men were fond of whiskey, and, to get a supply, took a horse-load of bear skins to the Ohio River and traded for a barrel of the desired article. The next difficulty was how to get it home. They finally cut two poles from the forest and formed sort of a drag to be drawn by the horse, the largest ends of the pole resting on the ground. The barrel of whiskey was then secured between the poles and thus dragged through the woods to Alexander township, where they lived. This was the first barrel of whiskey ever brought into Alexander. In after years the use of it became common and greatly the fashion, but at the present time it is not kept for sale at anyplace in the township."1 Israel Bobo married Polly Davis on 29 July 1832 at Meigs, Ohio, USA.
