William Doney was born in 1871.
According to Vivian Doney Reid, he was a crummy barber. The family joke was that the towel in his shop "made a good many miles." He said one time he was visiting the Doney's, Jenny will neve make me wear this straw hat again and he threw it in the fireplace. One time he cut Vivian Doney Reid's hair and almost scalped her. He chewed tobacco all the time. He seemed happy; he was always laughing and joking around.1 In 1891 William Doney was a barber in Jefferson, Pennsylvania, USA.1
