Obituary published in the Zanesville Times Recorder 7 April 1939:
"Frank Gagax [sic], 82, Called from Life Frank Gagax [sic], 82, well known retired farmer of near Fultonham, passed away Thursday afternoon at his home. He had been failing for some time from a complication of diseases. Mr. Gagax [sic] was a member of the Fultonham M.E. Church and had been treasurer of the Sunday School for 29 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. B. F. Wetzel, of Dayton; Mrs. E. C. Denbow, of Ashland, and Miss Helen E. Gagax [sic] of the home; two sons, J. F. Gagax [sic], of Pittsburg, Pa., and Edward Gagax[sic] of Marion, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Laura Cassel, of Zanesville. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Fultonham M.E. church. Rev. E. C. Harden will officiate and burial will be in the Fultonham cemetery. The body will be removed to the late residence Saturday morning from the William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, White Cottage."
