Came to USA about 1863. Places of Residence: Punxsutawney, Pa. and Troy, New York. She was in Troy as early as 1901. Cemetery Lot, Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, New York, Record Book 5-175, Section Y- Lot 91, purchased August 16, 1916. Information on William Hunter, John Hunter, and the Agnes Hunter Hammond Family was provided to Jean Saunders Davis by Mrs. Warren (Frances) J. Broderick, 695 Fourth Ave., Lansingburgh, New York. 12182 in 1977. According to the notes of Matilda Hunter Saunders (July 1937), a man by the name of Campbell was Agnes' first husband. He died as did several children born to them. She married a second time to George Hammond. Th ey were blessed with seven children, Willie, Mary, Lizzie, Agnes, Maggie, Charlotte and Carrie. They are survived by all their children (except Lizzie) and many grandchildren. Agnes died in Troy, New York.
