Gabriel Bobo's Will In the name of God, amen. I, Gabriel Bobo of the County of Prince William, being very sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to God, Calling to mind the uncertainty of my body, I, knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say, Principally and first of all, I give and commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I commend to the earth nothing doubting but, General Resurrection, I shall receive the same again, by the Almighty Power of God and as touching such wordly Estate herewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give and devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. I give and bequeath to Elizabeth, my Dearly beloved wife, my whole estate to have and to hold for her life & (it is) my desire that none of my children shall molest her and at her Decease to be disposed of as she thinks proper, whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of December 1789. Daniel Parris seal James Greenwell At a Court held for Prince William County the 4th day of October 1790, this will was presented to the Court and being proved by the oaths of James Greenwell was admitted to record and administration the said will annexed was granted to Elizabeth Bobo who performed whatt is usual in such cases.
