Notes from Susan Sharp: Last will and Testament of Catherine Lorenzen dated 21 December 1942 and Codicil dated 30 January 1946, as well as Letters Testamentary dated February 1948 (Case No. 10948). I have a copy which was given to me by Kathryn Tadsen Sharp. Filed in Port Clinton, Ohio.
A platform rocking chair which was in the home of Tina Lorenzen is now in the possession of Robert Tadsen Sharp. Before her death, Tena promised the chair to her granddaughter, Kathryn Tadsen Sharp, who then gave the chair to her son Robert Tadsen Sharp. Robert Tadsen Sharp also has a large charcoal picture in an ornate oval frame supposed to be of Tena Lorenzen. Kathryn Tadsen Sharp remembers the picture hanging in Tena's house. This makes me wonder if the picture is not Tena, but her Mother, Anna Kruse. Tena Lorenzen did not trust banks and she buried her money in cans in the basement floor. One day family members went down to the basement and she was ironing her money. She said it was musty so she washed it. According to Kathryn Tadsen Sharp, Teena always had a drink of liquor each night before retiring even during prohibition. She said the doctor had told her it was good for her! Robert Tadsen Sharp has a spice box identical to one that Teena had in her kitchen. Teena's spice box was in the possession of June Tadsen Rader. Her daughter, Gretchen Valentine, probably has it now.
