Catherine Doney Will 1/292. Last Will and testament of Catharine Doney. The will is written in Pennsylvania Dutch [German] first and then translated below.
Jefferson County, September 4th, 1874 Hafe I made my last wish and will
- First: I will the ten acres of land which I have bough (sic) of John B. Snyder to William Doney for his own individual land, as long as he lives
- and should he die without heirs it should fall back to his sisters and brothers. In case he should have heirs, it should fall to his own beloved heirs
- should he have no blooded heirs, it shall fall back to his own sisters and brothers.
This is my right wish & will, and shall be my last wish and will.
-In case he should not die without blooded heirs, he has, or his blooded heirs, to pay one dollar to every one of his right sisters and brothers. This shall be my wish and will, and my last wish and Will.
