Aunt Viola Doney worked in a silk mill in Reynoldsville before she married Jas. Dickey. She learnedto weave beautiful silks and satins on a loom. I don't know how she got to work every day from Grandfather Doney's (in winter). The mill had looms for a definite number of girls. It was a thriving industry in that little country town. Reynoldsville had a woolen mill also. The silk mill finally folded up. Died of breast cancer according to Vivian Doney Reid.
